Multiple audiences
Support newcomers, active practitioners, affiliated dojos and association communication without creating separate websites.

Case study / Association website
A WordPress platform created to connect association history, member dojos, events, news and practical information within a clearer national structure.

01 / The brief
The Kendo Ecuador project was developed for the Ecuadorian Kendo association as a public information and community platform. The original scope combined website development with search and digital communication support.
The website needed to serve several audiences at once: people discovering Kendo for the first time, practitioners looking for official information, dojos needing visibility and the association publishing events and news.
02 / The challenge
Association websites can become document repositories that are difficult for newcomers to navigate. At the same time, simplifying too aggressively can hide the structure, history and official role of the organisation.
The content architecture therefore needed to make dojos, events and current news easy to find while preserving enough context about the association and Kendo in Ecuador.
Support newcomers, active practitioners, affiliated dojos and association communication without creating separate websites.
Give dojos and events clear locations inside the information architecture so users can move from interest to participation.
Provide a maintainable system for news, event information and future association updates.
03 / The experience

The experience prioritises practical routes after the institutional introduction, helping users reach dojos, events and current information without losing the context of the national organisation.
Introduce the association, its history and the role it plays in Ecuadorian Kendo.
Make affiliated dojos and event information discoverable for people ready to train or attend.
Use news and event publishing to keep the website useful after the initial visit.
04 / The implementation
The documented implementation combined responsive WordPress development, SEO work and content structures for association information, dojos, events and news.
The current site continues to operate as an active reference for Kendo in Ecuador, including association information, events, dojo listings and recent content. The case study focuses on the underlying information model rather than carrying forward unsupported legacy marketing percentages.
05 / Evidence
The original project preserved several interface screenshots. A current dojo or event view would further demonstrate how the platform continues to connect national information with participation.
06 / Results & delivery
The delivered website gave the association a structured place to publish institutional information, promote events, surface affiliated dojos and support discovery of Kendo in Ecuador.
The original case included engagement and traffic percentages without enough retained measurement context. Those figures are intentionally omitted from the verified-results layer of this new version.
Key takeaway
A useful association website should do more than explain the institution. It should translate organisational structure into practical paths: where to train, what is happening next and where members or newcomers can find reliable current information.
Share the current website, the constraint and what needs to change.
