Architecture before decoration

The interface is only one layer

Many website problems begin below the interface: unclear content structure, duplicated templates, plugin dependence, weak search architecture or tracking added too late. We treat the site as one system rather than a collection of pages.

What we build

One foundation, adapted to the journey.

The platform changes; the system requirements do not.

  • Reusable componentsPages inherit consistent behaviour instead of isolated fixes.
  • Accessible interactionKeyboard, focus, contrast and reflow are designed in.
  • Search-ready structureURLs, metadata, schema and internal links have deliberate roles.
  • Controlled performanceImages, assets and layout stability are part of the build.

Technical requirements

They are part of design too.

Semantics, responsive behaviour, accessibility, SEO and tracking should influence components before final QA.

01

SEMANTIC HTML

Landmarks, headings and native controls before ARIA.

02

WCAG 2.2 AA

Keyboard, focus, contrast, reflow and reduced motion.

03

SEARCH

Metadata, canonicals, hreflang, schema and internal linking.

04

PERFORMANCE

Responsive images, controlled assets and stable layout.

Repair or rebuild

The decision depends on the current architecture.

Focused intervention

Repair when the base still serves the system.

A focused change may be enough when content, templates and infrastructure remain governable.

  • Performance or accessibility fixes
  • Focused technical SEO
  • Form or landing improvements
Controlled rebuild

Rebuild when every change adds more debt.

Heavy builders, contradictory CSS/JS, obsolete plugins or templates that block SEO can make a new foundation more stable.

  • Hard-to-maintain architecture
  • Repeated responsive patching
  • Structural SEO migration

FAQ

Technical questions before the build.

Do you use website builders?

The preferred approach for custom WordPress work is a controlled theme and Gutenberg system. The right implementation depends on the project, but the architecture should not introduce unnecessary lock-in.

Can you redesign a website without losing SEO?

A redesign can protect existing search value when URL mapping, content migration, redirects, canonicals, internal links and indexation are planned before launch.

Do you build mobile-first?

Responsive behaviour is designed as part of the system and tested across representative viewport sizes. Mobile is not treated as a late CSS pass.

Web project

Define what the new foundation needs to solve first.

The assessment can clarify whether a focused intervention, migration or rebuild is appropriate.
